SC21 stands for Supply Chain 21st Century, described by ADS as“SC21 is a change programme designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace & defence industry by raising the performance of its supply chains.”The aim is to evaluate current business practices on all aspects of the company. From this a CSIP (Continuous Sustainable Improvement Programme). The CSIP is a vehicle to channel improvement, which involves all employees of the company.Achieving a Bronze award means meeting minimum criteria in both manufacturing excellence and business excellence. Additionally being able to prove an on time delivery rate over 90%, and right first time (quality) greater than 98%.
