Case Study – Reverse Engineering

Problem:

Our customer had been crudely making batches of parts for use in production using their own workshop staff and equipment, which although fit for purpose they lacked tight tolerance and the in-house lead time incurred delays for the end user.

Synopsis:

Our customer now has a ’sleek’ solution for the future supply of this part, providing guaranteed tight tolerance engineered components.

With form tooling now in place we will be offering this customer a lead time of around 5 working days from ordering, ensuring he can keep his production supplied with quality metal parts and finished goods out the door to his customer quickly.

Before After

Case Study – Forming on Another Level!

Photofabrication worked closely with a company to achieve their goals, the requirement was an etched component, which then needed a complex forming operation. The tricky part was the size, and the cost restraints.

The item was chemically etched to +/-25 microns, then formed using a comprehensive system of universal tooling to provide the ideal result without the cost of form tooling.
