So, looks like this cold snap is here for a few days. Whilst it is cold we can appreciate the fresh sunny day (from inside with a hot cup of tea), the frost across the fields (from within a toasty car) and the knowledge that it is colder elsewhere (apparently -28 in Poland).

IPL hits Football

Not sure if you have heard but the IPL model used in 20/20 cricket is being applied to football with several franchises all bidding on players and coaches. Will be interesting to see how this affect the English Premier League given the amount of money sloshing about, I mean if Robbie Fowler can fetch over £300,000 there is hope for others. Shilton may even come out of retirement!

Did anyone catch the men’s final in the Australian Open yesterday? I say catch it, to watch it all would have taken most of your day. Just short of 6 hours, unbelievable stamina and played at such speed and precision, I doff my hat to both players.

Dog Food!

What would think a dog likes to eat, piece of ham, slice of cheese, perhaps even dog food? We thought so to, however a certain dog named Darcey has taken to eating the fridge! Seriously, Darcey has been caught nibbling at the back of the fridge. Someone must point out that to get at the goodies inside one must approach from the front. For further updates of house hold appliance nibbling by the now infamous Darcey, ask Zoe if you get the chance.

Wedding Invitations

A client asked us last week about getting some metal invitations etched to surprise his wife. We put together some ideas and etched the invitations with a bespoke design, then despatched the invitations on Friday. Spoke with the guy yesterday and his wife was over the moon with the invites, feels they will add something special to the day.

FIFA Say Beer!

FIFA, not an organisation to avoid controversy have now instructed Brazil to make sure that beer is sold at all 12 venues during the 2014 world cup, not doubt this is a decision to keep the crowd entertained on a hot sunny day.

Nothing to do with a major sponsor being Budweiser, wonder which beers will be sold!

Beware of Friday 13th, it appears history is littered with awful things happening from a virus affecting 100′s of IBM computers in 1989 to 5 German bombs hitting Buckingham Palace chapel in 1940.

Foul Play

Got to love this, apparently the Russians are now stating that there was foul play in their efforts to launch the Mars probe and various other satellites. Adding to this that they accept it was an old Soviet design and the project was also underfunded.

Kind of undermines the argument me thinks!

Horoscope’s

OK, not really one for reading horoscopes but when my wife started reading them in the paper I couldn’t help but listen. Apparently my love life will be rubbish for the first 10 months of the year, getting an advanced degree will help (seriously), exercising more will make me fitter (c’mon) and there will be a new person at work!

I think I may have missed my vocation, I could write this stuff to this degree of accuracy. The only bit missing was that if I stop breathing I may die.
