Wire Erosion CambridgeshireWire Erosion is used by Photofabrication in combination with the Photo Etching / Chemical Milling process to produce very precise cost effective products with very low cost tooling or set up charges. As a machining process Wire Erosion is used to cut through various substances in order to form parts for a number of different industries, who require component accuracy measured in microns and the benefit of square edge profile.

Wire Erosion also has the benefit of being able to manufacture components from thicker gauge materials, or even stacks of thinner materials to maximise the wire. The range of materials extends beyond those possible through chemical milling / photo etching where the etching chemistry is not suitable.
